I've put off repairing my front porch because it cost me nearly 6 grand just to rebuild a 10X16 size back deck. Would have been double that if I kept the side deck like I was going to originally.

Gabriel @gabriel_true On vacation starting tonight. I will try to see how my sister and brother are doing. My sister is supposed to have surgery on a benign tumor in her brain. It should not be life threatening, however it will be a financial setback that as a single mother can be terrible to endure during this time of the year.

Wanted you to be the first to know. I crashed out at Kroger, got real pissed off, threw chicken on the floor and walked out.
Told them twice before I didn't wanna do the cooking side, should have stood my ground and said either put me in a different department or I'm quiting right now.
Gabriel @gabriel_true Sounds like you're living the Kroger experience. I take it this happened today. Was it a customer complaint that triggered you or a coworker? Do you have to work tomorrow?
Daddy BigBack @joemama711 It did happen today, no customer or coworker bugged me, just having to prep a shit ton of food and the racks that whole chickens sit on kept sliding. It was just too much shit for me to do all at once by myself, I was shadowing someone who did it yesterday and last Monday. I'm on the schedule for tomorrow but I don't think I'm going back honestly.
Gabriel @gabriel_true I would still show up even if you know you're more than likely getting pulled into the office. Don't give up though. I made sure I had somewhere else to work before I put in my two weeks. Same thing when I went to work for the second company I moved to. Had somewhere else to hop to before calling it quits. Not to say the current company I work for currently is always easy. I have thought about walking out several times, however most companies I know are going to have challenges and I have to make a living even if what I'm being asked to do isn't easy or simple.
Daddy BigBack @joemama711 I've had a few opportunities to dip out and I kept holding on thinking maybe I'll be out by Jan or Dec 5th. That was just purely wishful thinking, I have a seasonal driver position interview with Amazon on 28th and a interview with the DMV tomorrow. Applied to other places as well but I can't see myself going back to that Kroger without it being a shit show or a yelling match. I do realize that I should have just told them to put me in a different department instead of forcing myself to do something that stresses me tf out.
Gabriel @gabriel_true Good luck with Amazon. Are you applying for the Flex driver position where you use your own car to deliver packages or an actual 18-wheeler? AMAZON does pay for training, however that training is through a 3rd party company.

You won't need a CDL to drive those which is the good part. The unfortunate bit being you're making less than tractor. The wage is comparable to warehouse staff. Around $18-20.
Daddy BigBack @joemama711 I never heard back from their CDL program, idk any CDL job nearby that wouldn't be rushed contract OTR work. 18-20ish is fine by me
