I'm not necessarily optimistic but I'm pretty stubborn xD There's a lot going on in everyone's lives and I recall in high school that I had a friend tell me that....You gotta hope for the best while expecting the worse. :3 Pessimism can be quite infectious but so can optimism be like the spread of laughter. x3

There aren't as many Naruto fans due to the series having a slightly older fan base due to its age and moving to Boroto, IMO. There's also always that backlash of anything popular and long running.

lei.dg @amarantha Yall exchange candies? I did not experience that. I am from a Catholic School and during Valentines Day we just attend a school program. We bring gifts like flowers/chocolates/letters but it is mostly given to teachers rather than classmates/schoolmates. Lol.

No problem about rants, my partner often goes off on politics and how the world will end soon. Well, let's say you actually succeed in getting affirmation. How do you measure success?

yuuzora @yuuzora Oof. A political doomsayer? How far down the rabbit hole? Is at least dark humor and witty? I hope it's not a full time thing? As far as just being accepted... especially by the Asian side... Even just a small part of them would suffice. Just hearing that I am enough to be counted. But to be fair I don't interact with enough other Asians, especially Japanese since that's what I am. I live in mostly white and hispanic area. It'd just be nice to have a group to belong to other than the 'evil red headed step child' club that no one wants to be in. I don't even mark 'asian' in most applications that ask. I feel too guilty about it.

Truth is part of it is acceptance. Generally I wouldn't care what others thought of me, but since this piece of myself has been a source of trauma since I can remember, it hits differently. Accusations of racism, being excluded from important events like Christmas and St. Patrick's Day, or Obon and Lunar New Year, etc. In this case just being stared down just reminds me of all that. I tried not to dwell on it but I couldn't get it out of my head. Which is why I wrote it out. Generally no one reads my profile, so I usually just write what I'm thinking. I'm sorry to have inconvenience you with my rantings.

Greetings, greetings... It seems like you're trying to please others in order to get acceptance. Is that the right way to go? Isn't it better to please yourself and have others accept who you are? If they can't do that, why are you even making the attempt?

One of the hardest things about being 'part white' is getting glared at by some Chinese people because I'm wearing a wei-ji(era) hanfu I got as a gift last year. No matter if you're standing in a room of all Asian or all white, you're never good enough to sit with either. So you stay standing and hope you can just live your life in peace. It hurts in a place I don't think we talk about enough.
