Pictures and profiles

darthrane
As the title says this isn't really relationship advice it's more general online advice. I just thought I'd bring it up because of a topic I read a few minutes ago. Pictures on profiles help in more ways than just a physical judgment 1 it gives us a face to connect our conversations with. We want a real image to associate our conversations with. If you ever got the feeling you are talking to a really smart computer at times. Not having a picture can be part of the reason for that. We want a face to identify with. 2nd It proves (to some degree) who you are because if you don't have a picture of someone when you go to meet in person you are setting yourself up for bad ju ju, even if you meet them in public.

Finally this is more just a general tip if you want someone to prove they are the person they say they are in a picture. Have them take a picture with something that you can identify with a recent date because it's not hard for people to go and pull a persons whole album and pretend to be that person. (That's just if you are really don't believe they are the person they say they are) and 3rd Sorry but people are physical beings. If person has a good personality a person will stick around sure. But, you can't figure out a persons personality just from looking at them looks will always be the first thing a person goes for granted the internet has made it possible for us to talk and learn about someone before seeing them, but have spents hundreds of years without internet so that physical attraction is still very hard wired into our brains and will probably stay that way for a long time.

4th It may seem small but posting up a picture does show a certain level of confidence it may not RADIATE confidence but it shows you are comfortable with your own skin, being overly hard on yourself is not only unattractive but it gets very annoying especially after extended periods of time. Just something I thought I'd share sure most of ya'll already knew a lot of this information but maybe this information will help someone understand better why a picture is important to have.

(side note I tried posting this topic like 4 times in relationship advice soo now I'm posting it in this forum instead lol)

While I still do Not think appearance should make or break getting into a relationship some people DO LACK Confidence and who knows maybe someone is willing to take a chance on said person befor saying OMG he/she is not a looker and automatically friend zone that person just because ya not willing to give them a chance because of looks "DON'T say it doesn't Happen cause it does and almost everyone is guilty of it Me Included" But I have tried to have more open mind about this stuff and say hey personality goes a LONG way and should get to know that person befor ya judge. So who cares if a Person is shy or lacks that self esteem to put themselves out there 100% they are here trying and that is a start so should cut them some slack. and befor ya say that is coming from someone who doesn't have a pic of himself Up I do it's in the gallery I just prefer this. I know I am not good looking, but I am still trying to meet people so we can't all be the princess or prince sometimes ya gotta be a toad and guess what am fine with that.

Never said that a picture has kept a person from giving you a chance but not having a picture at all makes you mote likely to be ignored than having a picture. That judgments aaide having a picture makes your encounter for when you meet the first time a little bit safer especially for the younger crowd on this site
