@tornadomushroom, I completely agree. A picture is worth a thousands words, as they say. In this case, it shows the person if they would be physically attracted to you because to have a successful relationship, physical attraction must exist. I could find someone extremely attractive but have a friend think they were ugly. So no matter how you think your looks are, someone WILL find you attractive and someone will not. That is how life goes. And yes, people first pick someone they are interested in based on their looks. Again, physical attraction is a must. So is emotional attraction (liking their personalities), but most people get to know the person after judging them on their looks. Only if both line up will the relationship be successful. If physical attraction does not exist, its called a friendship. So anyways, I hope this helps :) P.S. I'm also self conscious. Everyone is to some degree and someone that isn't self conscious at all is called an egotist (Meaning they thought they looked great, their personality was great, etc. Didn't think anything was a bit under "par" about themselves.)

And what if your bf/gf gets in a fire or car wreck messing up their face? Physical attraction can only get you so far. I wouldn't want to date someone based on looks that'd be what we call a one night stand. Hit it and forget it! If there's no love there's no point in attractiveness or sex.

If they are your bf/gf and you love them enough, than I don;t see why you cant stick around.
