Too much fan service

Too much fan service can completely ruin what could potentially be a great anime/manga. What do you think and if possible give an example.

as sandman said it works better with comedies, since it's not to be taken seriously. Queen's Blade is one that pops in my head where it tries to get serious occasionally but there are so many bare breasts it's hard to. Though occasionally when there aren't bare breasts in QB you start to realize that the story actually has plot to it...lol

Oh tb ere are quite a few. HOTD being one. Imight haved enjoyed Seikon no Qwaser if they didn't whip out a pair of boobs every time they needed energy (What idiot thought that idea was good?) High school DxD had tons of uneeded fan service. Ikkie Tousen an amazing show that coulda been so much better without tissue paper clothing in all the fights. They think sex is only way to sell a story. There are plenty of great series that chose togo the other direction and focus on story and character development like Fruits basket, Ouran High, heck evensevensome shows that came from hentai games have less fan service like for example Shuffle and Fate Stay Night. The industry needs to reevaluate what folks want.

Me too, too much fan service killed it for me for High School of the Dead. It's only nice in appropriate small amounts. I'm watching Code Geass right now and the amount of fan service of Kallen is just right (angled shots of her in her Knightmare).

well yeah high school of the deads a great example of forced moment the orgy school bus being one....(though guess it fit the scenario, still weirded me out XP) but in the beginning when the zombie pulled the teachers top down, THAT is forced and it looses it for me....but I think ripped clothing isn't forced, that was an alright mix of "Well there in an apocalypse....)
