@chibibree - Noooot exactly. I'm a hedge witch, and I've been practicing for 17 years (if you do the math on that, I started training as a kid. Most witches do, I've noticed). Hedge craft is Germanic in origin, but spanned across Europe through witching families and individual occultists, which is pretty much the only reason it has survived. Hedge witches "walk the hedge" between here and the spirit world, maintaining balance. We use herbs, charms, gestures, spells, trance-work, in some traditional cases hallucinogens called "flying ointments" (mine are non-hallucinogenic), and various other techniques. Sooo... Not Sabrina. We're actually closer to Siberian Shamen or western Medicine workers/curanderos than European ceremonialists. But that's probably more information than you wanted/cared about. lol

My love for anime/manga is mostly not mentioned to most family. once in a while my mom watches some shows with me, but they are mostly american made cartoons like avatar the last airbender/ legend of korra. my sister sort of has mainstream taste for most things(sadly), she wont even try and watch anything i do, just because it is me. i have many friends who love anime/cartoons. i have a decent group of brony friends(they got to me haha), but i also have some otaku friends.

Lol, that is part of being a grown ass man, your parents/guardians do not have to be completely involved with everything you like or do. I mean, I'm sure they know a little about it. It just isn't a topic that we bring up at dinner, when I'm with them.

XP I have a friend she saw angel beats and loved it, but she strreotypes anime. She says all anime is porn and all anime guys are gay or at least look gay. T_T evrytime Im drawing a guy(im into shota im mot good at sldrawing bishis) she says y do like to draw gay guys. If I mention any blonde anime guy she says is that the guy who got raped by an old guy (alois in kuroshitsuji) I talk about ciel and sebastian she says the same thing. And this guy keeps making fun of me for liking yaoi and drawing anime TT^TT

Idk if my family knows, I'm sure they do but either way they don't seem to mind. Even if they did mind I wouldn't care. Anime makes me happy and I'm gonna do what makes me happy. Its my life to live. Of course anime or anything like that isn't brought up in my house because I don't care to bring it up. There's no reason to. Its my business and I don't have to share it with anyone unless I want to. Simple as that.

I guess I've been Lucky. My father has always let me do what, makes me happy as long as I don't hurt myself or others and isn't illegal. My mother has had her opinions about my interests and hobbies but is open to it. She's watched my Uncut Uncensored Mamono Hunter Youko vol. 1 rental by herself and that was borderline hentai and she had no problem with it and I was in 7th grade when I rented that. Most friends of like love anime. Just my coworkers don't approve of it. But they are uncultured and closed minded.

My family and friends don't really care at all. Amongst my friends, I'm not even close to being the most fan about anime. My older sister is more into anime than I am. There's some light ribbing for what is perceived in asia as things that kids like, but only in good fun. If anything it's a good indicator to where/what to take her to go shop/see in Taiwan.

Honestly, the way I see it is who gives a fuck. Maybe Im too old to give a shit what people think about what I like..... Sure its hard finding people with similar interests at my age but I dont really care. Im a believer in do what makes you happy. If someone doesnt like it, tough shit for them! :)

I don't think my family would care about anything I do, they just let me be me. We all have our interests and we will never put anyone down or say what they are into is stupid or immature especially when we have not taken the time to find out why they like what they like. As for friends/non-family well.... "Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

As for myself, my parents kind of introduced this to me. I say this since they were the ones that introduced me to play the NES when I was young playing Mario games. Then Pokemon, Sailor Moon and Yugioh started on Saturday mornings. Then my dad started buying random series/OVA's on VHS. Overall, my parents have been quite open to what I watched which I guess makes me quite fortunate. The only difference is that I kept it hidden during high school since nobody seemed quite interested in it. Now I dont keep it hidden since there are others I can talk to about anime.
