Acceptance???

I had no acceptance growing up being a otaku was a part of it and im proud of it if i let somebody else who doesnt like the person i am effect me then who am I im not me im that person who is effecting me being yourself should be done more regardless of whoever thinks what about you i have lived a full life growing up into a adult full of hate for things out of my control and i didnt let that hate either make me into what they wanted or consume me to hate them for that only adds to a cycle of hatred that will continue all in all i dont want acceptance i want friends yes but i rather help the world and be different then be known by everybody due to popularity

I agree with yu and for me maiotaku is a place with otakus that can accept the otakus in us though it the only place i can be myself without being judge by it too ^^

Everyone in my family is cool with my like of anime and about half of my family watches anime. Hell even my grandmother surprised me with a used copy of Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust that she found when she was out looking at used videos. My mother likes anime as well. My father doesn't seem to care either way but we all get into watching martial arts movies together haha.

They dont care, I got my stepfather into it and my brother has loved it since he was a kid. Most of my family watches anime and some read manga.

Not sure why this thread was revived after so long. But who cares if people don't accept you. Find those who do accept you. Simple. ^ That goes out to everybody in this thread, i'm too lazy to read anything. So that being said. Screw everyone who doesn't accept you. And anyone looking for acceptance, is an even bigger fool. Live your life, enjoy your life, and find the right people to be in your life who don't criticize you.
