Why Bots spam Maiotaku every day

Have you guys been wondering why the constant bot posts? I did some investigation out of curiosity and found out why. It's all about how google does search engine results to influence AI search indexing. The bot creates a long article about a game, stuffs it with bullshit phrases like “buy MLB Stubs” or “cheap game currency,” and then links to the site it wants to promote. Because MaiOtaku is an old, publicly indexed website, Google can crawl those forum posts. The goal is to create backlinks. A backlink is simply a link from another website pointing to theirs. Search engines can use links and the surrounding text as signals for what a website is about and how relevant it might be to certain searches. They post a bunch of AI slop gibberish just to make the google AI think the link is legit. They likely do this automatically across thousands of old forums and poorly moderated websites. Even if most of the links are ignored by Google and nobody here clicks them, they still think it's worth doing because generating and posting the spam costs almost nothing. Maiotaku's verification process is so laughably outdated, bots can just automate account generation and posting whenever they want with total impunity. This can easily be fixed but since nobody is really working on the website anymore, it's kinda just like watching an old thing rust away.
