Sorry wrong post :( I’m very new my first time watching anime was Pokémon. I used to watched it on vhs tapes all the time :)

Can't say for sure. When I was a kid I may have watched anime not knowing what is was... But Urusei Yatsura (the original) is the first one I watched after knowing what anime was. This was in 2003/4.

Sailor Moon was my first anime. That was long before I knew what anime was. Hamtaro was also a favorite.

dragon ball was my gateway. though i guess pokemon counts so that might be my first

For me it was The Littl' Bits. Some really obscure anime that aired on Nick Jr. circa 1993 or 94.

Technically, without knowing it was and well before I even knew what anime was, https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3a/Heidi_DVD_1.jpg Heidi of the Alps. Ironically, a good chunk of my family is from that region, too.lol

Gosh it’s hard to say since I can’t exactly remember which anime was my first. I’ll just do a safe one and say Pokémon, specifically Diamond and Pearl. Loved the intro
