Religious rants

I'm all for freedom to worship whatever you want, it's the execution that I have an issue with. Not to mention, when I see laws being made to side with one particular belief under the guise of whatever else, I call hypocrisy. You can't tie religion under any shape with government, it never works out. People are people and we will use what we can to gain power. I don't like religion being shoved down people's throats, but I also understand that if someone has faith, they also feel that they have a purpose or reason to spread what they believe. Just be glad we(Most here.) live in a country where you can literally worship or not worship what ever, with in reason of execution.

Oh you actually quoted many philosophers and ancient scientists since most believed in God due to there not being drawbacks to following the faith

I like learning about other religions as it gives insight into the similarities between religions. There is a show called vikings and i know i keep mentioning this show but it honestly is really good its like the anime vinland saga except live action. But anyway the show delves deep into viking era christianity and norse mythology and how the two really arent that much different from each other besides the pagan values of the norse. Alot of these religions i feel stem from the same God but like the bible says they started worhiping other gods and such. Unlike the extremist Christians out there i have taken time to learn about other religions. Even dated a muslim girl for a while and learned about islam through her. During this period of time i was being tested by god. She was urging me to convert so we could marry and i was literally living the worst part of my life at this point while on deployment. This was my lash out on God moment. I had not returned to faith for about 2 years until now because he saw me trying to reach out and he answered. Moral of my story is i too was omce in ur guy's position so i get it. I had factors that drove me away but he walked with me even when i abandoned him. Alot of Christians have good intentions some not so much, some just havent experienced anything besides their faith. As humans we hate things that arent like us until we get to understand it. Those guys that were talking about pokemon probably grew up in a different era and feared the new. Or maybe im wrong and they were crazy all along.

Hmmm idk if some of these would be considered BASED on christianity but rather centered around Christian elements

Vikings also shows that there's very little difference in the religions. Vikings were converted to Christianity but it did not stop them from being Vikings, I.E. land raids and pillaging villages continued despite their conversion. In later shows, various Viking tribes find reason to war with other tribes on the basis of converting the pagans to Christianity. There are also instances where the Vikings are betrayed by the Christians and exterminated off English land despite having made pacts with the English. To add, that show did Floki wrong.
