Religious rants

secretagentboi
That's my point it made it difficult to verify meaning all of it could be crap or all of it could be true or parts of it could be true while others are crap and what you posted literally said they got their information from where i just cited

More specifically here https://www.state.gov/reports/2022-report-on-international-religious-freedom/north-korea/

"A prisoner who was released in 2020 told Radio Free Asia (RFA) that authorities subjected Christians to the harshest treatment and that authorities once forced them to stand for 40 days straight, causing inmates to lose the ability to sit down."
hell_hound7
I left out the prisoner part but here is the whole thing.

Didn't need to read the article to see where YOU were going, buuuudy.

From your article "The U.S. government estimates the total population at 26.0 million (midyear 2022). In 2002, the government reported to the UN Human Rights Committee there were 12,000 Protestants, 10,000 Buddhists, 800 Catholics, and 15,000 practitioners of Cheondoism, also known as Cheondogyo, a modern religious movement based on a 19th-century Korean neo-Confucian movement. " Further up in the article "The NGO Open Doors USA (ODUSA) estimated that authorities held 50,000 to 70,000 citizens in prison for being Christian. "

That's harsh punishment but how do they know that the other people didn't have equally as gruesome punishments? Were they interviewed at all? Or did people not care because shamanism isn't as popular as Christianity?
hell_hound7
Who said the person interviewed was christian?
secretagentboi
If they weren't christian how would they know in the first place? If they weren't christian they would have to assume that the people being punished were christian since i don't think a dictatorship as strict as North Korea would willingly tell people that
hell_hound7
If they are all in jail for various reasons would you not see people being abused as well?
