"Mitotic recombination is a type of genetic recombination that may occur in somatic cells during their preparation for mitosis in both sexual and asexual organisms. In asexual organisms, the study of mitotic recombination is one way to understand genetic linkage because it is the only source of recombination within an individual.[1] Additionally, mitotic recombination can result in the expression of recessive genes in an otherwise heterozygous individual."

Easy answer... There's never been ANY evidence to point towards a time when humans lived centuries or even damn near 1,000 yrs. None. Shoot, pushing past 120yrs(Just a little over, if I'm not mistaken.)is asking a lot, but we've seen that at least. Now, it could've been clans (Even though it's quite specific to certain individuals.) that were intended, in some cases and THAT makes perfect sense. It's always men that it talks about living for so long... What of the women? Oh, that's right! They weren't all that important.

I never said Mitosis was the cause of our death, just that it is our tickling clock since the beginning for our longevity, unless we find a way to modify our genetic code to perfect the process, making it flawless, it will always be the determining factor of when we will eventually die.
And, as you pointed out (based on what I had said) makes us prone to diseases by mutation in the process of copying.
There's always going to be a point where we simply run out of resources to keep cell production from continuing, if we add to that the chance of faulty replication, well we have a lot of issues and causes for early death, that's usually when the body starts giving up, if you ever had a family member of old age suddenly have a very rapid decay in health and then death, well, if no outside health factor included, it's simply because the body couldn't keep up sustaining the body needs and it shut down.
The cause of our death, is simply that we run out of pristine cells to draw genetic material from to continue production and replacement of old cells.

Oh yeah yaass doesnt read stuff.
Basically the article says it is possible to live infinitely we just dont have the current meants to replicate it. After the age of 108 your body changes. But up until that point the chances of life shortening is done by every 9 years.

You forgot the parts where it says most biologists disagree, and most agree diseases would just kill you off in a few years anyways.

Science and history change with the discovery of new items. Biologists say whatever they want and are proven wrong all the time.

Why is it we still have people testing things that have already been "proven" because there is always a new break through discovery to be made.

No, yaass knows you'll avoid evidence in lieu of pseudoscience that suites your narrative. Yes, science changes, it changes when new FACTS are found. We don't know EVERYTHING about ANYTHING. But, science deals with the observable. Now, could there be other spiritual things? Absolutely. Can they be proven? Not as we understand. Either have faith or don't, there's no need for proof if you believe. Simple. All the ages, all the little things, they take away from, not add to the message when that's what you choose to focus on. Fucking egos.
