Chainsaw man is a really interesting anime so I'd figure I'd make a thread about it. Feel free to discuss, post images, memes, whatever. I only ask that you refrain from manga spoilers.

I always thought the animation in the opening/ending songs was amazing in Chainsaw man. I studied creative writing and screenwriting in collage and there were so many layered techniques. You can tell the director is a huge film buff and is very well studied. I had a feeling that pulp fiction and big Lebowski was referenced, but I had no idea there were SO MANY. That's really cool.

To be fair I haven't seen all of Tarantino's films outside of Hateful Eight and Pulp Fiction nor have I seen Big Lebowski so I would not have caught all of those references. I quite honestly did enjoy Chainsaw Man and it is one of the most metal anime I have seen in awhile. Will definitely read the manga where the anime left off. The stuff I noticed tho was the subtle commentary on guns. You notice that not a lot of people have guns in this world except for a few and the Gun Devil. Just wish the anime was a bit longer.

Whatever comedic genius chose to direct Power's voice actor to go for Ren Fair or Medieval Times, truly is a hero in my book. https://youtu.be/uWpJKLFU8iA
