Things that you like that nobody else likes

That's how it should be done. Social interactions are learned (or curbed) during the childhood years to prepare you for teenage interactions and adult interactions. Isolation isn't good and to an extent home schooling isn't good because of this. Super attentive parents can sometimes teach or encourage kids on their behavior but I grew up seeing most parents be more hands off regarding kid socialization.

Yeah. I’m happy to say that the main friend we had to do that to grew up to be nicer and well behaved... she had a sad life and so a chance, patience and some love did her well tbh XD. I think the icebreaker for her was when we celebrated her birthday with her since her mom couldn’t afford anything (it was nice seeing her happy). But I was homeschooled and things turned out well, I think it does depend on what people/person is schooling you and such

My parents had a hands off approach and when they would give suggestions to how to handle situations, I eventually learned it best to mitigate issues on my own. They were young and dumb giving advice to someone based on what they wish they could do in my shoes, not what I *should* do. I some how managed to correct my behaviors after I hit puberty.

And sorry for the derail. LOL I embroider now. So that's a hobby I do that's what I would call pretty rare these days. Seemed more common when I was growing up. Lots of grandma's and aunts doing the quilting circle thing. I find sewing really relaxing, so I thought I might as well have some fun with it.

Well better late than never, although I’m sorry you didn’t get advice from them (especially when I’m sure you needed it most). My parents are the exact opposite, they aren’t the type to hover but if they see me struggling and I ask for advice or help they give me advice and however I choose to act is on me. Back on topic though I hope to see more of your embroidery adventures ^-^

There's just something satisfying about taking a huge, hulking war machine into a desperate battle.

If it was as dark as all that, I could understand how most wouldn't see the humor in it. Need to lighten up before ya stub your toe with them heavy tones you're dropping. Least we have a funny story on our hands about how you broke a leg. Cause ya always tripping!
