Look at every other country? I dont think a single country allows guns the way we do. UK? Nope not even their police have them, Australia? Nope even tho half the stuff out there can kill you.
The gun laws are fine its just when the left gets ban happy and wants to ban all weapons we get clear cases of self defense like kyle rittenhouse being considered murder.

The fucking government are the only ones with gun rights apparently. God forbid the people had weapons to protect themselves in case of the government oppressing them.

Yeah I like our weapon laws and I think anyone who would advocate to change those and restrict it is dangerous and to be frank too authoritarian for my taste would be the nice way to say it.
Our country literally cannot be invaded because even without our military it would be a hell to do so. I would not trade that for anything. Anyone who says otherwise is just plain ignorant and wrong but that's my opinion and we're all welcome to have one in this country since we're free. Free to own weapons.

Again, if the man that ran over 12 people with his car is anything to go by, people are violent by any other means.
Guns have given power to the powerless, but equally it's streamlined warfare to its logical conclusion. A mutual destruction.
Several hundred years ago people of a town or village could be rendered helpless if a group of bandits ravaged them.
How many women and children died being beaten with fists, sticks, and stones.
Whole groups gathering to burn one or two people at the stake because of some supposed wrong doing? Or being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
A gun is a wild card for sure. It can protect or it can destroy, but it admittedly gave us of the modern era a better chance at survival.
Not to mention my choice between dying to a bullet over having a heated rod shoved up my ass.
Obviously the bullet is my choice.
The question is why are humans aggressive in the first place?
However, that answer is as many as the people themselves.
No one moves to violence for the exact same reason.
Stupidity is a common trait amongst them all, yet it often bears remembering that though we ourselves can choose to be wiser, we live with others who are far lesser.
That is a fact not to be overlooked when considering the wiseness of bearing arms.

As to America and its greatness. Yes, it is true the country has much to learn about itself in order to continue growing and improving.
That said, I ask anyone that has contempt what type of glass is your house made of?
Plexiglass?
Fiberglass?
Bulletproof?
Stoneproof?
I've yet to see anyone give me a reason THEIR own country is superior.
If one comes to America's door asking for favors, then what is it that your GREAT country lacks?
Why is it they say WE are powerless to America?
Our country is GREATER.
WISER.
RICHER.
GENEROUS!
But we need America's help to do it or it will be America's fault WE AND OUR GREAT INDEPENDENT NATION fell.
I agree the United States can be hypocritical or down right arrogant, but in all the years other nations have existed, why now is it American influence is to blame for the shortcomings of other better countries?
May I ask those who dislike America for its faults whether those faults are present in their own?
Now I do hold my fellow countrymen accountable for equally blaming China, Russia, or the other countries across the globe for issues happening within our own borders.
It is fair to be critical of America for failing to always live up to our own standard.
America is made greater with the cooperation of other nations.
America is not alone in making the world a greater place, but it is important to always approach another man's home in need of repairs with functional tools and the knowledge of how to achieve it rather than yelling angerly across the yard from one's own cardboard house.

People have guns in Australia, just not as many comparatively to America. If you jump through all the hoops, get all the paperwork, and prove to their government your need for a firearm you can have one. Say like for instance ranchers who need rifles, or you want to shoot clay pigeons for sport. Those exist. Handguns are heavily restricted though whereas they are highly favored here in the US for protection.
Anyhoo statistically speaking for every 100 Aussies less than 14 own guns whereas in America the percentage fluctuates between the mid-30s and 40s.

A reason why banning firearms won't stop aggression alone.
And how a country with the greatest gun ban still are helpless when stopping violent mentally ill people.
