@momoichi What stance are you taking? I don't think I could play devil's advocate in this one so it depends on which stance your arguments are for.

@gtechrepublic that gender is a mixture of societal standards and state of mind, whereas sex is biological. a separation of psychological and physiological basically id go as far as to argue that the possession of a uterus doesn't make you female and having a penis doesnt make you a male. even the definition of sex isnt strictly physically binary thanks to factors like birth defects and chromosomal defects.

"a woman is someone who can give birth" what about women born barren? "a woman is someone with a uterus" what about women who have had a hysterectomy? "a woman has a pair of x chromosomes" what about women born with an xxy? or xxx?

There isn't any way to say it without offending someone so sorry in advance if you are offended by my post (to anyone who reads it) so here we go. Everyone has a general idea of what they are looking at. Yes, that is all subjective as well but, as a human race, we all know based on frame, musculature, and other factors, what that persons sex (I use sex as the term because it's more clear to what I am stating) is. With that, while anyone can truly believe what they want to believe in regards to what they think they are, stating that you are not what is clearly visible is extremely hard to believe. Now, I understand that there are some people who look sexually ambiguous but it's not a large portion of the populous. That being said, I would never call anyone who truly believes what they believe out on their shit. However, forcing someone to call you something just because you believe it to be is wrong. Trans and Drag Queens have existed well before today's current climate but it wasn't like they were forcing people to say what they want them to say.

@daggerfella women with swyer syndrome are female presenting with outward female genitalia, but they possess a y chromosome. they dont possess ovaries, but still have a vagina and appear female, therefore chromosomal structures also can not be used when classifying sex. @gtechrepublic i once debated someone who believed in eugenics, so dont worry about offending me xD "Now, I understand that there are some people who look sexually ambiguous but it's not a large portion of the populous." Yeah, but the debate kinda hinges on the idea that sex is a strictly binary structure xD As humans, it's only natural for us to use our sight as means to judge someone on a menagerie of things, and I understand that there are rubrics that we can use to identify sex, but none are foolproof, and therefore are not evidence for there being a true rule for categorizing gender.

@momoichi A true rule for any categorization cannot hinge on "feelings". Feelings sway left and right, during heated arguments and during times of euphoria. People can feel one way today and feel completely different tomorrow. And that is what is currently being treated as true in terms of gender. Telling someone that they are wrong based on how they feel is incorrect but telling someone they are wrong when they have information to treat specific things due to their biological makeup is foolish. And debates based on the idea that someone's "feelings" can't be wrong will inherently go nowhere because there is no way to prove feelings, only how far that person is willing to go to say that they are true.

There are only 2 genders/sexes. People just wanna feel special and come up with multiple different genders to say what they are. Just because you cant relate to others within the same sex as you doesnt mean you get to change ur entire gender/sex to skmething that doesnt exist. You are born biologically whatever you are, no amount of surgery or medication can change that. Because in my eyes without those scientific advancements around you would have no way to change what you are. I really dont get whags so bad with being male or female does it trigger people that much to be called a man or woman? Trans people i will give a pass for, they are ar least conforming to one of 2 genders but these people that branch out wanting to be called xim xer like no thats not how it works.
