aye now i dont think we should sit shit out, i dont think sanctions will work and they often hurt the countries that impose them as much as they do the sanctioned, im just sick of the us doing this shit alone finding out that the uk did shit all to protect hong kong was amazing. really exemplifies that the world just relies on the us for its heavy lifting instead of doing shit themselves. why should we even give two shites about taiwan when hong kong was promised to be protected and lost? why shouldnt china just steal it when its fucking clear a weak ass country like russia can take what they please? china has far more leverage because we WONT (not cant) stop relying on them. @kuharido they arent in nato because of a broken promise. because of lies and coercion. the worst thing this sets if no one does anything is the precedent that nations like china (who are much stronger) can take what they please and people dont do shit. we cant let our enemies get stronger, yet we are. the sanctions didnt work for crimea though (but you seem to know more about this stuff than i do, so if theres a reason or if it did kinda help please educate me) atleast wer slowly but surely pulling our manufacturing out of china.

@fulcrum Should an invasion of Taiwan happen then we should do the following. 1. Give immediate political asylum to all citizens. 2. Move all manufacturing plants to the US or neighboring countries. 3. Whatever cannot be moved, scuttle it. Blow it up to the point it cannot be recovered. Do not let China take that electronic manufacturing infrastructure. If they have the semi-conductor capacities of Taiwan we might as well give up.

See this goes beyond more than just allowing china to take taiwan it sends a message. The Us cannot protect its allies or anyone. We fought a 20 year war and lost. We basically handed over Ukraine along with NATO despite the very obvious warcrimes commited by russia bombing major cities devoid of military presence. NATO just showed all our enemies that we will bend the knee to a very oppressive regime. I mean we have already been doing it with china. I wouldnt be surprised if they let china have taiwan. Then America becomes dependent in the chinese as they produce all of our semiconductor chips. Its stupid because America has become so dependent on other countries, for energy, for goods, for labor. Rather than fix our own damn country we play world police and we arent very good at it.

I feel we need a president who puts American interest first. Trump was a good start but we need a hardcore president someone with a spine unlike these weak woke presidents like joe biden and obama. Bunch of coward politicians. What happened to those presidents who said shit like carry a big stick and military might and wouldnt let other countries bully us. Where did we go wrong?

Yeah no i feel like the plan trump had in place was gonna be thorough and excuted well. Biden basically pulled out like like a cheap date he found on tinder. He didnt even provide air support. If ukraine gets taken this will be the second time a country has been overtaken under his presidency. Yes i agree ukraine isnt exactly our problem but what is the point in supplying weapons and all that to a country that is expected to be taken over in 96 hours. Ukraine had zero chance against russia. Thats why its taken the entirety of NATO to defend it. He basically showed America to be weak. Talking about "Vladimir Putin is scared of me because we went toe to toe" sanctions dont do shit. We are still gonna go tonrussia for our energy and all that and if not china is just going to aid them.
