The ilussury truth effect. The misconception that it was the Tuskegee Airmen who were exposed and experimented on with syphilis rather than residents has been something spread around since I was in grade school. Also I think people get the 2 movies, Miss Evers' Boys, about the syphilis study, confused with the Tuskeegee Airmen movie because Lawrence Fishbourne was in both and played similar roles.

Please just listen until the end and you will see why alot of us cant stand movements like the LGBT and BLM. They never advocate for anyone who isnt on their side. My sisters gay and some of my best friends are trans but they dont associate with that shit and they know how to take jokes. Lifes too short, enjoy the experience. If you take life so seriously all the time, you'll give yourself a stroke.

Movements like LGBT and BLM tend to be complete shit. Supporting people of any race and sexuality is cool but those "groups" tend to be toxic shit.

It is from the perspective of an individual who themselves are queer. I can appreciate many of Dimitri's talking points as there are definitely people that see the issues on both sides. Any movement has a right to exist and be heard, but it is that collective's responsibility to take ownership of the message they want to spread. Personally I feel, as Dimitri explained, that if the community wants to be taken seriously, it should present itself as a natural part of society that's always been there. Not as something completely other or foreign to be forced. To clarify, many younger LGBTs might be frustrated or angry about not being accepted by relatives or local society which is fair, but if that individual becomes hostile or overly demanding then what they run up against is the very barrier they wished to remove. As in, to become what one hates perpetuates the same hate. I also like how Dimitri points out that the common argument made against the community for being a hotbed of sexual misconduct isn't help by those members actively embracing that type of behavior. Queer people are still people. If it would be considered sexual harassment for a heterosexual man to make unwanted advancements towards a woman, then the same can be said of two homosexuals. Openly referring to one's sexual appetite unprompted does not quell the irrational fear of an actual homophobic individual. Basically, reading the room is critically important. A skill not mastered by many. I'm definitely for wanting to make a more inclusive society. But remember to keep your own society in check first. Build a proper foundation, pick your battles wisely, and don't be afraid to adjust expectations accordingly. Remember, everyone, including the people ya don't like, are human too! Love yourself for who you are. The same applies to your neighbors. That doesn't stop applying no matter what group you find yourself in.

YES YES exactly that, if being gay trans and bi whatever is normal. Then dont alienate it. Its a normal part of society. That why i dont think these groups help their cause more than they hurt it. Why is LGBT such a commonly known name? Why do i know that group exists? There is no striaght pride of America. The KKK you know exist simply because they were created for one purpose. Its because they believed they were better than the common african american and wanted to get rid of them. Think about it. Does that sound normal? Yeah didnt think so. When law and order has a literal episode about a trans hooker being sodomized with a flash light. You can tell it was a political agenda because they made it a point to have the white male police officer handcuff the victim only for a woman to ckme by and lecture him because she was the victim. This is what those groups have caused. BLM has caused more racial divide in this country than the years before george floyd
