I see people saying him making a bill regarding censorship wont do much in the grander scale. But just think if more states got behind this. We need to make a way for "private" businesses to abide by American laws. For everyone who feels big brained it seems silly or unconstitutional. But if the same apps on here can ban influential people such as Trump but advocate the slaughter of people then we as Americans should not support it. I never supported facebook, twatter, or instagram anyway. I say ban them like china does. Why must they conform to chinese standards but shit on the American people.

People always counter it with the cake shop argument (if the cake shop gets to deny a gay couple a wedding cake because gay marriage is against their religion, the cake shop can deny the customer service). I think the people who fight for First Amendment rights (oddly enough it's looking to be the Republican party when in my entire lifetime it's been the Dems that fight for it) need to press further on it. There should be a caveat where private businesses in the social media spectrum must adhere to First Amendment Rights. I can understand if the business is owned and operated outside of our country, you can't make them adhere to those standards, but if owned in the US, definitely.

Imma branch off on your cake shop idea. @Verucassault yes it is that cake shops right to deny service, same way it is the customer's right to shop elsewhere and boycott that store. Same goes for media, they can choose to cater to china yes because china hard stamps anything that doesnt fit their narrative. America is more lenient on this and that is why such things have been allowed to happen. So if we boycott these services for reserving the right to do somethkng we necessarily dont agree with. Then they can just shop elsewhere such as china whom they have catered to in the first place. Twitter, facebook, and the like arent essential to americans in anyway. If someone got fired from twitter there are other means of income. It isnt detrimental to the economy in anyway. I really want Republicans to step the fuck up. The left has just been running wild and allowing blatant injustices happen and ignoring it just to fight an nonexistent threat.

The issue that comes with this though is these corporations have their hands in the pot. They fund these politicians and buy them off which make it harder to get this stuff done. Money may talk, but it doesnt speak for the people who supported these politicians up until they showed their true colors. I dont have a solution on how to stop this from happening. Because wherever a law gets signed into place a loop hole is found on the opposite side. Im saying no more career politicians could help this. Where people who originally had an idea to make America better dont have the time to be tempted into these deals.

Political discourse just gets less and less humorous because people end up taking themselves too seriously. Political "humor" and "memes" end up more as propaganda than as a genuine attempt at humor. It's practically mud slinging at this point. o7

This whole topic on guns is just tyrannical government practices. Like our founding fathers arent just rolling in their graves they probably are weeping hysterically as well. Like how can something literally in the constitution even be tested right now. Its not just guns but freedom of speech, freedom or religion as well, freaking every single principle is being tested. Its like we are slowly being attacked by foreign entities but on our own soil.
