Listen, if David Bowie wants to be ziggy star dust, who the hell am I to say he isn't from Mars? And do you really want the government checking down your pants and telling you how to live your life? Cause as a libertarian hillbilly, that kinda authoritarian shit scares the hell out of me. Now I've done my time in the punk rock movement, we had a different way to go about changing society than the SJWs did, but if you really want people who have either been or had to console friends who were victims of sexual assault, violence, and all that, that's your can of worms. Cause they're this generation's version of hippies and punks, and I'm not about to be on the wrong side of history here. We were obnoxious asses too, but the oil wars were worth protesting. XD

to play devils advocate (because i wanna procrastinate from the task i should be doing mostly) id say snakes argument is that what would make transpeople happier is if instead of getting the surgery and hormone replacements, they should instead work on liking the body theyr inside just my guess though from his earlier statement

I don't understand why police insist upon deploying the use of tasers. Tasers have an awkward effective range, are not always able to properly attach to a target, are not accurate, and do not fare well on clothed targets. Additionally, a significant portion of people are just "built different" and can simply ignore tasers. If the taser does work, it puts the suspect at risk of death anyways either due to potential medical issues or simply falling over and hitting their head. Additionally, police policy dictates that if their taser is stolen, they have the authorization to use lethal force against the suspect who stole it. Tasers are like some pointless half-way measure between non-lethal and lethal tools. Police ought to just do away with the tasers already, I fail to see how the benefits of their use would outweigh the potential costs. ㄟ( ▔, ▔ )ㄏ

Ah, okay, gotcha. Yeah, if you actually know trans people before and after the transformation, and I'm a cis dude, so I don't really get why I need to be the guy to point this out, but... a lot of them need to go to a psychologist BEFORE they even come to realize who they are on the inside since there's a lot of turmoil keeping them from even thinking about it. Because the feelings they are confronting are generally the stuff that guys like us never have to grapple with. Put it this way. Bigfoot witnesses. You have two types. Type 1: "I SAW BIGFOOT!" Type 2: "I don't want to talk about it." Type 1 is probably doing it just for the attention. You can probably write them off, but if you tell them they're wrong, they're gonna dig their heels in. More than often, most people I meet before they transition? They're the second bigfoot witness. They know they're going to get shit for it, so they're very guarded about those feelings. They push them to the back of their minds, tell themselves that "Well, it could be this instead" and largely don't want to admit to themselves that they may have actually witnessed a hairy man in the woods! But in order to move on with life, sooner or later, they gotta get those feelings out there. Maybe it starts with telling a few close friends to test the water. Maybe they get in an argument about it. You could tell them they're wrong, and they will probably agree because they want to believe that, but they know what they saw out in those woods. And you see that look in their eyes? Damn, its not a joke or a fad, they are the real deal. So they decide to take all their money and start a doccumentory series on History Channel about bigfoot regardless of how you feel. And you know what? Its lets the healing begin. Now who cares whether big foot is real or not? Who cares of Trans are really males or females? Like I said, you should withold your opinion until you've met that second type.

@mountain_tiger ngl i actually agree. from what iv seen theyr incredible unstable and generally ineffective. same with pepper spray because of the friendly fire aspect maybe rubber bullets would be the better option?

@chocopyro one of the saddest moments of my life was seeing an anthropologist explain that there's no way bigfoot exists because no creature can live and not leave behind remains. one of those childhood magic gone kinda moments. (and before you say this isn't political ill remind you that many Florida positions have included the swamp ape in their campaigns so there)
