OkCupid used to be great. As was POF and many other apps, but then they were all acquired by the monopolistic corporation MatchGroup. At which point they stripped each app of their unique features and homogenized them to all be Tinder clones with insanely priced paywalls. They'll also shadowban or outright ban you entirely for little to no reason due to how vague their guidelines are. In the end they don't want you to find love. They just want you to keep on paying month to month for Plus, Boosts, Gold, Coins, etc... because they know you're lonely and desperate, and I find all of that absolutely disgusting.

At the end of the day all they care about is your money and the lengths you’ll go to find this “love”. After all, they make an app to get money. Also the reason the paywalls are so high is because people are willing to pay the price. Disgusting or not that’s just how things work, they’re in it for the money not you finding love. So what they’re doing is practical but also unethical, but it works for what they want.

Nah. You gotta lower your standards. There's a certain "type" that will more than likely talk/meetup. I know nothing!!! Really, just be honest and realize that online is just a tool, not the main choice. Wanna not be shy? Just talk. If it goes no where, what if it? You move on and grow less shy,you condition yourself.
