but the issue is these people need this stuff to survive and are not just being lazy what social programs do you want to get rid of exactly? https://www.brookings.edu/research/from-welfare-to-work-what-the-evidence-shows/ can you show me evidence that says social programs like unemployment insentivise people to not work?

Lamby you told me you didn't care about my views so no evidence I give will ever get through to you. - I have enough personal family experience to show me just throwing money at a problem doesn't help. I have watched people I trusted destroy themselves without thinking once of their futures or others. How many times I heard the words "Give me more it's not enough." Then when you handed them dollar after dollar. Gave them all the pep talks and ted talks. They go either back to prison or they kill themselves. - But my life is a "Strawman" to you, Lamby. - And to top it off the most successful people never once asked me for help to get where they are. - If you want to truly help people, save the ones you can not the ones you can't. - With that, this strawman that doesn't exist is out!

i mean do you know what an anecdote is?

i mean i could easily just say that the wix program allows my sister, who is a single mother, afford food like I don't even know which social programs your against specifically?

@momoichi Ideally it would be best to have an economy that doesn't require these social programs whatsoever. It does not speak well of a system that you are working and have to take government assistance. However government restrictions have been a disaster for smaller businesses. They can't afford to make the adjustments. This is why Google, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and other massive businesses want these regulations. They can afford to adhere to these new rules and regulations and integrate them into their businesses. Meanwhile a startup business cannot and this cements these big businesses where they are to the point that a competitor cannot come along and dethrone them. Even more interesting is how companies, especially Apple are trying to smash the "right to repair" laws. For all intents and purposes these are laws that allow a repair company or user to request the schematics for a object they purchased in order to repair it. Using Apple as an example. Apple wants you to go through their channels in order to repair your phone. A lot of these things are very simple fixes, but Apple doesn't like you going into the phone to reposition the lightning port if it gets loose and doing so will void warranty despite it being perfectly within acceptable limits of said warranty. You open the case and that warranty goes away. If I wanted to start my own business for making microelectronics, I would have to invest well over one million dollars into it. Main reason is that I can't use older equipment that gets the job done just the same as the new equipment thanks to federal trade regulations. The only difference is the brand logo. I want to buy an older high-bond, cost me $7,500, I have to buy a West-Bond with variable frequency which is $17,500 and I have to buy many of them. Now I can take a government contract, but that would make my business a slave to the federal government. I would have to obey federal rules and regulations and any advancement or research would require that I run it by a government middleman who is basically a rubber stamper denying or approving whatever I put in front of them. It's like how Texas Instruments has the monopoly on the Education system. They produce their calculators at around $15 per unit, probably less. Meanwhile they are selling them at a cost of $160, with a processor 41 years old and has a screen resolution the same as a Gameboy from 1989. This is true for many industries going so far such as a simple gas station or a clothing store. I do not like government regulations on mundane things. If there is a basic safety standard, I can deal with that. However government restriction for a business or institution to use a single brand is overstepping the line.
