I think echidna said those are what were to happen if the world continued even after he died. So like in the world where he dies the people actually suffer. But its kind of a plot hole in a way cuz beatrice remembers things in the pasr life but the outcome where subaru dies and beatrice is crying like you arent he one i thought you were.

I'll be real when I say that this season has dragged the series down a couple points for me. Season 1 was a solid 8, but now it is looking more like a 6.
-
The bunnies was a fun touch, but Subaru constantly being surprised by obvious traps that he's already encountered is becoming monotonous.
-
Easily this series could be shaved down by about 6 episodes if we were to only include the pivotal character reveals.
-
What the start of season 2 has unfortunately reminded me of in a BAD way is "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" with the endless 8 time loop episodes. Those did nothing to reveal anything interesting except change up character's appearances slightly while retreading already established information. The problem really being Kyon not figuring out what the audience already knew was coming.

Re: Zero should have learned that important lesson, however it would appear that is not the case.

Yeah the recent episodes have kinda dragged on with seasin one we had like a couple arcs. This whole season has just been this one sanctuary arc i expected to be out of this arc long ago. It sorta feels like the anime has a ton of filler rn with the whole subaru crying and meeting with the witch. There is no real action in these episodes and its not like its character development for subaru cuz he just goes right back to his same old self

This season plays waaaaay too much on Subaru's despair. Im tired of seeing him cry he didnt cry nearly as much in season 1 its almost like we get an action packed episode then a dumb character development one. Its dumb. Hopefully season 3 picks up the pace

@gabriel_true I feel the same way, they are taking season 2 way too slowly. I was hoping the number of episodes to be sufficiently large for me to not give it a lower score.

I haven't started this season because I hate waiting every week for a new episode. Will wait when its down to two episodes for the season before I start watching it.
And stating that, I just want to say that him crying does not sound out of the ordinary. He has died more than a dozen times already. His mind is probably broken at this point. In fact, I'm hoping he goes crazy in the end when this anime reach its final season. It would make sense, he's gonna die several more times. If for some reason he dies a hundred deaths, he better be insane, or represent one of the witches of sin by then.

This season is the only thing keeping me sane while working constantly for weeks on end.
Also the witches are amazing for the story.
