I'm almost 30 and I haven't achieved anything

some people are oranges, who ripen asap early on but others are bananas, they take some time to ripen theres no shame in being a banana, come into your own in your own time

Just don't bruise your banana, unless you wanna make banana bread. ;P As they say, life is about the journey, not the destination. Ya know something? This whole "quarter life crisis" thing is very, very normal. We like to look at what everyone else is doing and in doing so, we forget about our own journey. Life takes time.

Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to someone else today.

Baka is right. Most often times the good is overshadowed by the bad times. No telling how many people's lives you have already changed!! :D

For starters don't let the lack of marriage or children define your worth as a person. Family life isn't for everyone and just because you haven't managed some meaningful marriage or popped out a couple of kids doesn't make you any more or less significant than someone who has. I've had several relationships over the past two decades, a couple of them lasting two + years, but it never amounted to anything where I felt it was worth putting a ring on the finger and I haven't had a gf in almost three years now. At this point being almost 40, it's not something that is a super high priority in my life if it doesn't happen. I'm not some rich well off dude, but I work a full time retail management gig and it's enough to support myself, purchased a car that's paid off, live alone and rent my current 2 bedroom place, take care of myself and my two goofball cats, and have some spending money every couple weeks. It ain't a glorious life but I know compared to many others it could be a hell of a lot worse. I can also hang my hat on the fact I haven't had to live with my parents since I was 18, but I know not everyone has that luxury. I know for some on here your current lives may not seem all that meaningful or fullfilling at the moment, but life is what you make of it. Sometimes what you feel is a deadend job is just a stepping stone to something better. You can always look into other hobbies or things like creating content for youtube or streaming out there. I think for many of us we should also be pretty thankful we have our health and aren't dealing with something life-threatening like terminal cancer. As much as depression, anxiety, and mental health can be difficult to deal with, many of us could have if FAR worse in comparison to others out there and that's how I try to look at most of my problems.
