LDR

Not currently in LDR but wondering what is everyone’s experiences and do you think it can work in the long term. Just wondering since this is a dating site and everyone is from everywhere

It depends on the person. Some people find it real hard over time, not being able to see someone and it can cause stress and strain. For others it works fine, and if both ends are patient enough it'll work out fine.

LDRs can most certainly work nowadays with modern communication and travel technology at our fingertips. Both individuals need to know what they are signing up for though, and rules sometimes need to be agreed upon. The big thing though is that to make it work, one or both individuals need to be willing to make the move.

They're not for me, but I did date a German girl once and we saw each other pretty regularly on weekends or during holidays so that still works for me.

My experiences with LDR have been great while they lasted but I doubt I'd ever be in one again, at least not one where me and my partner are in different countries - always made me an emotional trainwreck that things never work out. I would only ever do it again if that person is truly special and we can effectively meet up enough where we aren't waiting over a year to see each other. However I would definitely do an LDR with someone in the UK because at least I know I can actually meet up on a somewhat decent basis since the transport system is pretty good here which is nice since I can't drive to save my life.

only real relationships iv had were ldr it fucking sucks, its painful af on the uphand though when bf-kun does visit we always have a blast together his next trip here wer gonna be celebrating our anniversary, a movie, dinner, and trip to the washington zoo planned ^v^

@infernal monsoon thats kinda my thought process atm, maybe id go far as west europe since i am in UK too. If it was worldwide then it would have to be them ones where i would have to travel time to time. Maybe i would try it but seeing eachother like once a year in person might be too difficult for me to handle. But hey, who knows. Won't really know until one trys it for themselves
