debate

Idk if it's true or not but my grandparents said sometimes in Mexico the taco sellers would get stray dogs off the street and try to pass that off as other types of meat

I really want to debate but I will wait till I see a topic I like (probably never).

from what iv heard some south american countries have stray dog problems, so i wouldn't be surprised @truffle you can always make your own topic and offer a debate for anyone to take
truffle
That is a wonderful proposition. I might do that in due time when I deem it to be appropriate and feel that a topic piques my interest.

@momoichi I'm not insulted if you assume that I have consumed farmed meat, I was just annoyed because I was under the impression that the only purpose of your inquiry was an "I caught you in hypocrisy" trick. Which is annoying because I just want a discussion of our ideas to better understand the concept of veganism, not some "ahah I caught you, I win!!!" kind of argument. To me, the insult is not the assumption itself, but that the assumption is used for such a purpose. If that is not your intent, then do not take it personally. I just see zero sum arguing as a waste of time, personally. (¯ . ¯٥) I do not wish to argue about my personal habits or life with strangers on the internet. I only aim to discuss the ideas I have and nothing more, which is why I try to detach the people from the ideas. However, because I previously discussed it already and I assume you absolutely cannot make your argument without it, I will provide an answer to this last question. I do not know where the meat I eat comes from, because I do not buy meat and I currently do not hunt. I only eat meat when someone prepares it for me. I have been hosted by both meat eaters and vegetarians, and eaten their meals without complaint. I take whatever I am given because I was taught to accept hospitality, especially food, without being picky. If that makes me a hypocrite in your eyes, then so be it, we can finally let the topic go. It is no weight on my mind. ( ̄ヘ ̄) Dog or deer, they're still animals. Animal consumption, regardless of species, I do not think it is inherently immoral. o7

Depending on the region. Crickets, scorpions, iguanas and even snakes are eaten. But dogs are not in the culinary diet. Your grandparents were joking. You actually fell for the joke. Lol @tigereyes11 Welcome to the vegan debate thread. From bad analogies, fallacies, twisting of words etc. You finally got a taste of the Lamby logic. Double Lol @mountain_tiger

Bro i was like 3 when they told me obviously I would fall for it

They also traumatized me with the llorona but i'm pretty sure they weren't kidding about that since even my dad who doesn't really believe in things like that claims that back in Durango he would hear her shrieks at night since they used to live near a canal or lake can't remember exactly and I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure Durango is where most of her sightings are

The myth of La llorona is part of every Spanish speaking country. That urban myth isn't just part of Mexico or Durango. I wonder if they know her in Brazil? @nebelstern
tigereyes11
Yeah ik that but like I remember hearing Durango is where most of the sightings are
