Nah, as per the myth. She's sighted near rivers. Anywhere there's a river. There's rivers all over the country.

I always heard of Cucuy. I first heard of it on a playground when I was about 4. I was talking to some kid from Mexico about the Mumu (Filipino equivalent) and he enlightened me to the Cucuy. Then we realized that the Boogeyman was all over the world and there was no escaping him.

"Llorona" is called "Chorona" here. @alephy We have our own share of urban myths, such as the Bathroom Blondie.

I remember when i was like 3 I used to wake up between 1 to 3 am and eat all the food so in order to counteract this my grandparents would hide and cry out "mis niños donde estan mis niños" and then let out a crying shriek oh boy did that send me running

Bathroom Blondie? @nebelstern
nebelstern
If you say "Bathroom Blonde" three times in front of a mirror, kick the toilet and knock the doorbthree times and finally swear a lot in your most nearby school's bathroom, her spirit will appear to haunt you. It only "works" in schools tho. @alephy

Just read the origin, it is meant to be the spirit of a woman who is pretty pissed off bc she wasn't buried.

@mountain_tiger (sorry for the delay i love debating but it can make me a bit fatigued ;w;) well, yeah, my goal in this debate is to either prove that you are being a hypocrite or that you are a sociopath. that's how, in my mind, i win this debate. your goals are literally the same i imagine, and if not you can tell me what they are. and when i say hypocrite, i simply mean that you don't follow your own moral code. again, this isn't some emotionally loaded word, its purely definitional. I'm not sure why you would think this was meant to be a discussion, its literally called the debate thread and i asked for a debate. debates are a sport of wrestling ideas to see which is stronger, which i enjoy. i choose veganism simply because i enjoy discussing morals and i believe the argument for veganism is indestructible. i have never lost a debate for veganism, nor have i seen someone lose one (i watch debates for fun, I'm a nerd) a discussion would imply one of our opinions would be swayed, but we both know that would never happen. my point isn't to make you vegan and I'm sure your point isn't to make me eat meat. what wer doing is see whos more logically consistent in our beliefs. that's all it is. nothing more. your taking this very personally, which it shouldn't be. i understand when talking about a subject as deep as morals it can become a bit morbid, but you shouldn't assume I'm doing something to hurt you, again its just a debate. if you want to learn about veganism you can always ask and ill tell you all i know, but you could also google search it xD i don't think you seriously started this debate to learn more about veganism, as you haven't asked me a single question about it. i think you knew this was a debate and this is some form of back peddling. how about you give me a real moral argument as to why you are amoral in eating meat? 'Dog or deer, they're still animals. Animal consumption, regardless of species, I do not think it is inherently immoral." so if your host told you tonights dinner was dog meat, you would, as you said you don't know or ask where your food comes from, simply eat it?
