This thread is to focus on obscure games you enjoyed or still enjoy today.
For enjoyed, I find the Windows PC game Outpost 2: Divided Destiny a non-edutainment game that taught me multitasking and productivity music how it should sound. Nowadays, I only look back at it as fond memories.
For enjoying, mostly some doujin shmup games ranging from retro Japanese PCs to Windows PCs. From Illumination Laser (Sharp X68000) to Void Gear (Windows).
do mobile games count? cause i love tedious count collecting games
happy mall, castle story, lords mobile, and tiny sheep
Betrayal at Krondor: Its like playing a visual novel/tactical RPG... Except that its a western rpg, set in a fantasy book series, completely canon in said book series, and hardly anyone has heard of it.
I love all Parodius games :3
It became a Greatest Hits pretty quickly, but I still dont' think it's widely known. Ni No Kuni, Wrath of the White Witch.
Far: Lone Sails
Wanderlust, the original tho it’s outdated. So few players I ended up in photos for the starter manual after it was released from beta cause I joined one of the only lobbies I ever saw while grinding daily
Maybe not that obscure considering that Osu! is an overall popular game, but idk how popular are the original Osu! Tatakae Ouendan games.
Anyways, I like them and played the games a lot.
Valkyrie Profile never sold that well... It's still really good and highly underrated, it just came out at the wrong time.
