Whatcha doin?!?

When in the middle of hauling a trailer another trucker flags me down to stop so they can ask if they can have my load since theirs got cancelled. Like, no. Literally what are you doing? That's not how trucking works. I'm not stopping midway to a destination so you can get credit for pulling my trailer! These Russian drivers are crazy I tell ya! Always something they're trying to pull. But they ain't pulling my load!

Dude seriously! This random Russian man threw himself in front of my truck to make sure I slammed on the air breaks. (Sure the truck's camera sent a report to my company about a near miss of a potential fatality I gotta now explain thanks to him) Then just casually rolls up to the side and goes, "My loads cancelled can I have yours?" Thought the guy was joking, but he was insistent! Finally had to tell the dude to meet me down the road, so we could work something out. He took off that direction and I just blew past the meeting point cause I had a delivery to make and I wasn't getting cancelled on like him.

I know very little about trucking as well, but apparently some random trucker with nothing to haul was still randomly driving around (and not getting paid), randomly saw another truck hauling a load from some other random company, decided even tho he's not the consignee (and can't get paid for it) that he'd haul some other random truck's load (despite knowing he can't get paid for it), randomly knew the route in order to be ahead of it so he could run out on the road to force a stop, agreed to meet at some other random spot on the same road to discuss it (instead of doing it right there when both parties are already stopped and discussing stuff), and then drove his truck to this random spot first even tho his truck would have been off the side of the road and the truck he forced to stop was still on the road... Got it.

The over under was apparently he got cancelled on his way to a job and for some reason thought whatever trailer I had he could just pick-up and get paid somehow. I agree it makes no sense. I don't know what the man's plan was, but I know he wouldn't take no for an answer, so I just told him to pick a spot and I'd be there. I wasn't cause I had a place to be too. What I'm saying is it was a wacky scenario and there are some nutty drivers.

Dang, good thing this random Russian driver who would know he can't get paid for hauling a random load from a different company to some random destination was dumb enough to fall for your trick of "Um, yeah, I know we're already both stopped and talking right here, right now, but meet me further down the same road we're already on and we can work something out."

Taking labor day to recharge. The past week was pretty rough and left me feeling sore physically. But today is good. Getting ads on Ebay to downsize my apartment, updating my phone's playlist with game soundtracks, organizing my NieR collection and will do more styling on my golf cart later tonight. All while enjoying some home made pumpkin spice coffee. So at least this day off is going well.
