Do looks really matter?

For me it does I would never f- a 180kg, full bearded Goblin as example. Neither would anyone of you. So yes if you are a human it depends how you look. /vote4close

My feeling on looks is that it's hard to be in a relationship with someone you're not attracted to. The majority of people who get into relationships generally do want to eventually be intimate and attraction is part of that. Personality and emotions are almost as important just because of how someone acts and speaks. If you're not comfortable being around someone with how they carry themselves with you and others, you're probably not going to want to be with them in a more serious capacity. The biggest thing to me when it comes to dating is drawing the line between genuine interest and infatuation. There's always gonna be a honeymoon phase of any part of a relationship, but having something more meaningful underneath is the biggest thing so it has the best chance to last.

Looks matter. If they don't, then why do all the girls with cute selfies get all the attention? Ed's right that as a generalization, those that say looks don't matter are either smoking hot, or they have low expectations based on how they view themselves. But there's a 3rd option! You're a liar attempting to make yourself look like a nice guy.

Or you can want some who is low maintainence? Usually the issue with going with someone who is super hot it usually feels like a competition. If you feel like they are super hot, think who else feels that way? Plus if they know this themselves they probably also know they always can get someone else if they wanted. Saying that looks doesnt matter doesnt always have to be that you have low expectations or trying to be the nice guy. You can literally not care what they look like. Rather be with a loyal girl who is less hotter than a girl who is and isnt loyal.
