Pictures of others

Another post out of pure curiousity, do you prefer people to have pictures of themselves up, do you prefer not knnowing what they look like and have it as a mystery or do you simply not care either way? :)

I don't care about if they have pictures of themselves or not.Not knowing their real names is also okay.In fact,I haven't known the real name and look of my best online friend's.I may not see that person in real life during my lifetime as well.Mind/Soul,mutual understanding and sincerity are more important to me.

I like people that are confident to show their face in nerd accounts. I am ok to share pics with strangers (like when I do a new hair cut I like to share), but I'll find a way to censure part of my face. But I do like to exchange pics with friends, I will share a pic of me if I feel comfortable and the other person shares to. I don't really like to feel idk that I have 0 knowledge about the person.

For friends I don't care how they look therefore I don't need pictures of them or for them to know how I look. It's fine if they wanna know though, not like I'm hiding how I look. Most of my closest friends are people I have met on the internet and I will *probably* never see them. And I don't need to in order to appreciate the bond that grew between us. :3 For potential romantic partners: yep, I do care. Not necessarily about them having pictures up but knowing what they look like. Had an online relationship that ended pretty badly, partially because I didn't insist on sharing pics early on.

I appreciate you all sharing your thoughts :) Seems to be a general consensus is that people do not care if they have pictures up, but when it comes to love interests it is best to trade pictures at some point, preferably when you notice feelings? and also when you gain some leveling of friendship ^_^ @senpainoticemepls sorry to hear about you bad online relationship :(

I do like to know what people look like in real life. After all, unless I interacted with them enough in the forums, when I get the random friend request from someone who has like 1 anime pic, and very little written in their profile, my first assumption is "Well, this is a spam account." Having a real picture does kinda help promote a person better after all. But hey, we're all nerds, the vast majority of us love anime, and not all of us feel comfortable in our own skin. Thats something that more people can relate to than you would think, including those of us who use real pics. I personally don't think I look good in many of my pics, but I think they're fun, and that's the side of my personality that I'd rather show.

Well, like I said. If I meet them in the forums, that's usually a sign that they are more than a joke or a spam account. So, no, you don't fall into that filter.
