I'm appalled that this collector's set for their 30th anniversary is ONE GRAND. 1,000 dollars. 8 Pokemon Premium Collector booster boxes. And what do you get? Fuckin BOOSTER PACKS at a CHANCE to get 1st gen set cards that you can't even use in a real game of magic. I know this post may belong in the vent thread, but man, fuck those greedy bastards. MTG is going to become a game played only by nobility and the wealthy elite. It's just a fuckin' whale-milking farm at this point.

Yeah. I still enjoy building decks but the money sink really turned me off the game. The fact that they pump out so many cards a year, having to constantly ban stuff that's broken. I guess it keeps the game functioning but why the hell would they focus on reprinting a card that's banned? We don't ask to play banned cards in our group. I think our group would get butthurt if someone even used a proxy of a really expensive card. Arc is always telling me it's a rich man's game.

I wouldn't be as upset if the 30th anniversary stuff wasn't like a slap to the face. Most mtg players cant afford something like that, so what do we get to celebrate the 30th anniversary? Nothing. Why couldn't it have just been it's own little set and have super rare alt art for milking the whales? Just rubs me the wrong way
