What could an ideal partner bring you?

Honesty, loyalty, compassion are key traits. Been through some good and bad relationships but at the end of the day someone that wouldn't mind just sitting at home and watching a show. Someone that wouldn't mind cooking together, maybe sitting on the bench with me and letting me guide their hands on the piano, etc. Just single things, really. Even just small things like sitting around and reading together. Someone simple enough to appreciate the small things but spontaneous enough to go out on the town and dance if the impulse hits.

For me, communication is the most important thing any partner can bring to the table. Without communication, you can't build trust, learn about each others' likes or dislikes or become more connected as a couple. Lack of communication breeds negativity, leads to distrust and can cause unnecessary problems and regretful decisions. Lack of communication was the reason I lost a relationship with a wonderful person. COMMUNICATE so what happened to me doesn't happen to you.

For me, an ideal partner would have loyalty, integrity, and an ambition to add value to the world. I find myself drawn to these people, especially when they are in a position of power. Birds of a feather flock together, right? An ideal romantic partner would have those traits- a rare quality I see in women around my age. I've come to terms that I want a relationship of equals. Different roles, equal in respectability. I can only dream...
