Why not? Every other mainstream anime has a live action adaptation. Won't be good, but it won't stop them from making more than the tiny budget they allot for making the movie.

I enjoyed the Rurouni Kenshin movie. I'd quite like to see the FMA one too.

Took em long enough. Might be too little too late though if they're looking to cash in on the craze. I think it's died down a lot over the years.
