Hmm, most forest fires are man-made so I would doubt this is something that can be related to anime. Maybe the anime inspired people to go camping and that led them to starting a fire they didn't know how to control? But that can't be blamed on an anime anymore than saying a cooking show led someone to set their house on fire.

Ohad, Because they admitted it. In the case of the fire they said they went because of the anime, and took pics of the fire while making posts and freaking out. Others there were complaining about how much they hated camping due to it being 'boring' or all the bugs and stuff. Well, I guess there's a small chance the post could have been faked, but I'm with Neet. Some kids watched a camping anime, thought 'hey, that looks fun!', and went camping. I'd more blame using a campfire tutorial from /a/ as the real culprit for this, also leaving it unattended. There's nothing wrong with deciding to go camping because you watched an anime, but there is something wrong with not learning the relevant skills before going (and relying on the internet for answers, particularly less trustworthy parts of the internet)
