Fake Facts

I thought it'd be funny to see what fake facts people could come up with and post here. Preferably kept on the silly side. The objective is to come up with a fact that isn't true, but could be believable.

Did you know that during winter the reason the earth gets colder is because the upper hemisphere of the sun begins to cool?

Really? I thought it was because the sun was finally dieing out and on the verge of colliding with earth after millions of years due to the destruction of the ozone layer from us?

No thats something different. The sun is actually falling out of orbit and is slowly pulling towards earth. Thats why its getting hotter each year.

Which explains why the winter has been so bipolar. Just googled it. They have missiles on standby to blow up the falling sun to prevent a dangerous collision with earth and Venus is to be our new sun due to the stronger gravity pull of the planets towards us. We will soon be really screwed.

Since we're on the weather. Did you know the reason we don't change to wind generated power is because if we put up too many windmills, we would run out of wind?
