Virtually impossible to find girls who like anime IRL?

A portion of the female cosplay community are not entirely anime and gaming fans. Either they are aspiring models and are looking for a new platform to try their modelling and get their name out there, promoters either promoting for a company or themselves and grow their social media like more subs on their twitch account and develop a fan base or patrons for photos, or just strictly enjoy the act of cosplaying in itself. While there are a lot of genuine female anime fans and gamers...some have other aspirations especially with platforms like instagram and Twitch and the amount of attention cosplay brings. Hence why some guys in the community might hate on females or shit test them on factual stuff. We have events like cons to bring fans together and share their enthusiasm but the irony is that a lot of the negativity anime fans are trying to avoid ends up following its way into the environment anyhow. Like with cosplay for example, it might attract people who are genuinely anime fans, others might be only doing it for the attention, some might be creeps and are looking for a one night stand. I appreciate an awesome cosplay no doubt and don't mind for people who are in it for modelling etc. but now that it has become a mainstream outlet for attention you have a lot of the same barriers if not more IRL within the anime community, as if it wasn't difficult enough to meet someone for the same passion. Basically i just think as a guy, you really have to go through a lot of barriers in the romance department.

That always been the case, example here tinder man swipe like on 60% of female, where as female only swipe like to 10% of men due to knowing regardless they will get mutual likes. Also the funny thing is that in a lot of countries the female population is higher.

It's probably been said already but just be yourself, hang out with people with similar interests to you. Simple enough, very effective.
