Virtually impossible to find girls who like anime IRL?

I think my problem with this whole train of thought is that I don't understand why your girlfriend HAS to be an otaku... I mean can't she be a tea drinker or something? Even couples don't need to do EVERYTHING together.

@Lock you arent wrong. But anime/manga/etc can be a very large portion of interest. There are times when an SO doesnt understand the fixation, and either feels ignored for it, or that its just in the way. Or worse, tried to change you. I find gaming worse. As games often dont have a pause button. So most try to find people who dont mind such fixations (typically another fan) But i agree, i never want someone who is into EVERYTHING i am... but some of the medium sized things in my life prefered. Edited:cuz phones are hard xD

@Taiyou Then finding a middle ground "after" the relationship has started would be better I think. It's good think there exists good options for such Death Note or "The anime for people who don't like anime". Anyone can enjoy a good Ghibli film too.

I suppose its because usually when people in person do find out that we like anime and video games they attach to our hips and don't let go. D: Or maybe this is only something I've gone through. Like other people have been saying, you can just try introducing a girl you like into anime you personally like or think they might enjoy. If they like you back they'll watch it with you. I had to do this with my boyfriend because he isn't really into anime or that many games either.
