If you come to me for computer advice and throw marketing bullshit words at me and i say "i dont know", dont come at me with "but i thought you were a techie".. Nvidia TI/super are made up bullshit that means nothing. 'ThreadRipper' is a madeup word.. Im not a consumer, im an engineer. If you came to me like "this card has more VRAM but this has more FLOPs, which is better?", i could be like "ah yes, VRAM is nice for saving more vertex buffer objects for faster fetching and rendering, but the other may be better for more intense shaders with more floating point operations.. most games probably run fine on 8GB VRAM so anything more is a diminishing return".. This is how i make my decisions ..dont throw dumb fucking marketing jargon at me and expect me to know what you're talking about, and then insult me by being like "aren't you supposed to know computers?" when i say i have no clue.

Jump Force was a poorly made game, but many people purchased it for $60 and then bought the DLC which was another $60 in total. Most players paid around $120 to enjoy the broken mess that was J-Force. I say this because with the news that after 3 years the game is going offline it reminds me why I now loathe purchasing modern video games. It's nothing new to see a game's online features removed, but for fighting games... that's literally the only content! It's a constant reminder that spending money on these companies is a waste of time. I'm finished with purchasing online games. If it is online only forget it. What grinds my gears is the smug "All good things must come to an end." They say this as if it were a FREE gift. Like they simply LENT people a toy to play with. Now they want it back, but of course I can't get my $120 back! Gee whiz Bandai Namco, sure was fun loaning you $120 but all good things come to an end. I'm going to need that money back. Maybe you can have it back when you make a complete game I can own again? Who knows!

You never really own games, anyways. You only buy the right to use them. It's like buying a movie, you only buy the right to watch it.

@yaasshat Except one can buy a copy of a movie to watch as much as one pleases or simply rent. The structure of most modern games has come to a RENT ONLY system which aggravates me. It's as if every copy of a movie you owned on your shelf suddenly stopped working a week after you bought it because the creators of said film decided you shouldn't own a copy anymore. I understand I didn't create the assets of the product and that I cannot legally replicate the game to sell to others. However companies are getting too greedy by offering a product then chopping said product into chunks to be sold individually at double the retail value. Then as soon as customers have paid the money to use said product they turn around and abuse the license agreement to snatch the purchase away from the user with a teehee attitude. In my view, I am sick of it. To me companies are painting themselves in a corner. The more brazen they become in taking advantage of customer's good will the more likely it is less people will want to pay higher prices for less return. Even if others still will I won't. It sucks that that's the future of products. You buy a car. Oh sorry, you didn't buy a car, you can only lease a car. You'll have to give it back unless you pay another $20,000. Oh you bought a house? Sorry, the government ownes the property, you'll need to move out now and let them resell your $140,000 investment to someone else. What? How can you be mad, it's just fair business.
