thats dangerous thinking yang why would they want to take away neutrality then? why care? not to mention the monopoly cable companies have in states comcast is the only provider we have in my area if your rich, sure, you can just pay the increased fees and its fine (which are going to happen, site reason above) but if your poor and already struggle with cable bills, your fucked internet isnt a privilege, its become more than that everyone should be able to afford it

might i mention cable companies HAVE THROTTLED INTERNET BEFORE when netflix refused to pay comcast some ridiculous fees they throttled netflixs speed, so it was extremely laggy and breaking up

im guessing thisll happen very slowly (if congress doesnt repeal it) around mid next year or even 2019 slow enough that we would have forgotten it by then when they start acting up, so we dont connect the fuckin dots

Under pre-2015, misconduct was punished accordingly. I've yet to hear of a case in which it wasn't, either by authorities, or fixed by public demand. Comcast didn't throttle anyone. They went from providing a service for free as a courtesy, to charging for it, which didn't target any service in particular and slowed traffic down as a result of their lack of action. Considering under the 2015 law they merely have to treat all the data equally, this doesn't have any different implications under the 2015 law. Also I hate socialism. Communism, too.

@Fox and Lamby Theres a reason I abandoned this thread. Yang is pretty knowledgeable, and right about a few things (though I dont agree with him on a host of others), but the other naysayers are just being pains in the asses for the sake of being pains in the asses. Of course socialism and communism are irrelevent, but thats all a lot of hyper "conservative" Fox news zombies know how to bring to a conservastion. If their overlords dont like it, its socialism, fake news or "But what about Hillary's fucking emails?". Trying to argue with them is just gonna stress you out and then they'll smugly think they won. Ive been trying for years and it isnt worth it. Seriously, take my advice and dont bother; let them stew in their own willful ignorance.
