Oh shit you have mandatory overtime too? I got lucky tho since i just transferred to the new warehouse and they're not allowed to give me mandatory overtime for the first two weeks but after that I'm dead

My experience with any job I've ever worked was they wanted me to start doing 3 departments minimum day 1. Just my luck. To this day I still remember walking into Kroger to apply for work at 16 and them just throwing me a shirt to put on and get to work. Best of luck with your overtime, Secret Boi.

Unless you're a firefighter or work in some other emergency services. They're is no such thing as mandatory overtime. Mandatory is just a word they use to scare you to work more. Your employer can't force you to work overtime. They also can't legally fire you if you refuse to work overtime. BTW I'm not against working overtime. I'll happily work overtime. Since I do like making more money. But if for whatever reason. Once in a blue moon. I don't feel like working overtime. Ain't nobody going to force nor mandate it on me.

@gabriel_true bro you sayin youd rather live in gotham than metropolis? thats equating the tourist version of nyc to the slum parts. at least superman will kill these fucking monsters, batman just lets them live, locks them up, they escape, kill and terrorize, and the cycle repeats. people irl dont move out of ghettos due to shit like generational wealth; how do you accrue wealth when your options are shit? while this may (heavy may as whos to say that these systemic issues would also apply to the white citizens of gotham) apply to those gotham residents who live in the slums, why don't the lower/middle and middle class leave?

@a1ephy it's legal in my state where an employer can mandate you to work overtime as long as they give you overtime pay and do have the right to fire you for not going or refusing to go

@momochi shoot honestly I'd rather take my chances with Joker in Gotham rather than Doomsday in Metropolis

@secretagentboi its not just joker, and you need to consider the heroes. superman is a fucking superhuman alien whos altruistic thanks to his upbringing. batman is a normalman richboi pseudo furry who is unwilling to compromise his narcissism larping as morals and kill a villain. in metropolis all you have to worry about is the occasional super villain, where as in gotham you also have to survive the shitty economic disparities as well as the mafioso, petty thugs, and corrupt politicians that thrive on it. no sane person would live in gotham over metropolis

Depends on the era. Silver age Gotham would probably be safe because most crimes are about stealing money and valuables rather than killing.

@momoichi i mean I've been reading comics recently and the only difference I've seen between the cities is that metropolis is sunnier since in the first issue of the new 52 it's literally just superman going after corrupt politicians and sure in the early years i would've rather lived in Metropolis rather than Gotham because when both Batman and Superman are inexperienced superman claps Batman but as they progress Batman ends up being pretty much the most dangerous person on the planet which was even stated by the justice league to me it just sounds like you have a bone to pick with Batman and while Batman is questionable as a hero since even Batman questions himself as a hero to the point barbatos models his existence after Batman i would still rather have an experienced Batman protect me rather than an experienced superman

Also it's not that he's not willing to compromise it's that he believes if he kills he won't be able to stop which is why he questions himself as a hero he believes he's one step away from becoming what he's trying to destroy which is why joker loves Batman he knows that if he pushes Batman to the brink even if it means sacrificing himself Batman would become the most terrifying villain out there Batman isn't a good hero but he is vengeance
