Oh also the new 52 superman is not altruistic bro literally used similar tactics as Batman like dangling a corrupt politician over an edge of a building before jumping off with him and when he met with earth 2 superman which i believe is golden age superman the earth 2 Batman and Superman stated that the new 52 superman is more full of anger than the original making his beliefs not as altruistic as they used to be

@secretagentboi i dont read the comics, just seen the cartoons and read a few harley quinn comics. i have a huge throbbing hate boner for batman, but that doesnt influence how i see gotham, because i like everything about the batman universe outside of batman himself. there is an issue of comic era, BUT i believe it is fair to say that canonically gotham is depicted as more crime ridden than metropolis. metrpolois has supervillains, yes, but they scale to superman himself. batmans villains are weaker, but larger in number as well, filling gotham like a rat infestation. its tourist nyc vs the slums of nyc

@secretagentboi i dislike batman because he put his "morals" ahead of the good of gotham. all he has to do is kill joker, thats all. snap his neck. but no, he cant kill, and so others die because hes such an uwu moral icon uwu so sweet that he'll put the villains well being above the innocents of gotham (again, iterations on this vary, he even use to use guns, but the core of his character is this 'i wont kill no matter what' bullshit)

@momoichi you're right about Gotham having more villains but them being weaker the first villains Batman faces in the new 52 is the red hood gang and riddler while Superman's first villains were Brainiac and Lex Luthor who unleashed an alien plaque that turned the citizens of metropolis into zombies, and while you're dislike of Batman is understandable it isn't a moral code usually animated stuff and movies make it seem like a moral code but it's been shown and said that if Batman kills he won't stop also idk if it'll happen in the prime universe but usually after he kills the world ends cause it's "a universe that shouldn't exist" even if you don't like Batman you should read some of the "evil" versions of Batman since some of them aren't really evil and are just killing criminals oh another reason i would rather live in Gotham is cause 6/7 times that Batman turns evil he still protects the innocent only killing criminals while 3/3 times that superman turns evil he becomes a fascist who will kill you for stealing bread in order to survive plus the catalyst for then turning evil is pretty interesting for Batman it ends up being the lack of self control that makes him kill his villains while Superman's catalyst is a lack of Louis either because she was killed or he never met her

@momoichi Batman did kill Joker in the Killing Joke which is where Joker tortured Batgirl. He even snaps his neck. The major issue is if they kill the villains for good the comics would end XD but some stories don't tie into each other like the Killing Joke was it's own thing.
