@senpaisamasan Batman's laugh at the end was so wonderfully disturbing.

btw have you all seen Superman red son and/or read the comic? They both take the concept a bit differently. They're both great in their own way. I highly recommend both. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpg2wnVisCk

@kuharido a rarely momentarily based batman. and gotham lived happily ever after. i know its the issue, which is why its shitty writing. its the major complaint i have against comics; why must 4 comics dominate the market since, like, the 40s. stop making weird au's like some weird ass fanfic in attempts to keep the media alive. let it end. let other comics pick up the torch. look at manga, fist of the north star, astro boy, akira, inuyasha; all of these manga had a cohesive story with a beginning, middle, and end, and they are still remembered and herolded as legends. imagine if they played the comic route and kept going, reiterating stories and time lines, going off issues instead of volumes. theyd suck and the manga market would have suffered for it.

@momoichi that's pretty much already happening. A friend of mine who reads comics a lot says most customers at his local comic shop are 30-50 aged men. So you don't have to worry about that. Times have changed and entertainment will change with it. You'll probably see the characters is less long term stories and more short term stand alone series. With a bigger market for new characters most likely. Manga has kinda done that too with some of the really popular ones like Lupin III, Detective Conan, Golgo 13, Jojo's, Kochikame, even Grappler Baki is still going. I know what you mean though they don't totally dominate the market. Although I think talent went more into fiction novels and movies rather than comics/animation since that stuff was seen as for kids in the Western world but in Japan comics/animation can be seen as for any age. Although again, that's changing.

@kuharido yeah but sequels can be forgiven, especially because they have room to continue, like the new inuyasha sequel. iv never heard anyone complain when manga get sequels because it isnt bloated and overused, and they never delve into shit like au's. plus the same mangaka always stays attached, its not given to different minds that twist and stretch the original into something entirely new (if you want something new create something wholely new, use your damn imagination instead of using these cheap tactics to keep your pockets flushed)

@momoichi Rumiko Takahashi only developed the designs for the characters but the manga is written by the anime studio not by her. Also Boruto started out being written by someone else and they brought back Kishimoto just recently. So it'll probably pick up cause Boruto is pretty mediocre to me. Yashahime is alright though. Anyway I'm not going against your point I mostly agree just pointing out some similarities in both markets.

@kuharido lol when you brought that thing with rumiko up i just remembered the kishimoto thing. BUT kishimoto did end up start writing/drawing for it again, i think just after 7 samurai failed.

Poor Kishimoto, he will probably be a 1 hit wonder and will forever be tied to Naruto.

@momoichi the 3/3 Superman's that i know were fascist were earth 3 superman who was in charge of the crime syndicate which in that universe i don't believe he had a Lois but honestly that's so old that i only know brief things about him, then there's injustice superman where joker kills Lois so superman decides to start killing villains and then eventually pretty much anyone who stands in his way creating the fascist regime because believe it or not superman doesn't kill unless it's like some alien animal otherwise lex would've been dead by now anyone considered a hero in DC doesn't tend to kill then there's the red son which is a communist superman who ends up becoming a fascist however i noticed once he got to know Lois and literally just know her since they didn't date in this superman gave up his fascist ways in the end which is why I believe that Lois is the one that keeps superman sweet since in the beginning of the new 52 superman was kind of a jerk and seemed more like Batman until he met Lois and started softening up and sure Gotham has it's faults but you're talking about old Gotham towards the end of most detective comics Gotham still has crime but it isn't as dangerous as you're making it out to be what you're describing is Gotham at it's worst because Metropolis at it's worst would be the constant alien invasions, 4th dimensional beings, and other magic users cause imagine you're 20 years old single no kids and you walk outside only to get stabbed by hundreds of angels that represent a three pronged 4th dimensional fork since it's attacking in multiple time periods meaning your son and grandson are probably getting stabbed as well, that's a literal thing that happened and the only known person to stop it was Jor-El until Superman finally stopped it the day he "died"
