No man's sky

I'm buying parts over the next few paychecks to put together a pc to play No Man's Sky. I'll be playing it on Mint Linux with Wine. I'll be buying a Xeon E3-1245v5 cpu http://ark.intel.com/products/88173/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1245-v5-8M-Cache-3_50-GHz with 32GB of ECC RAM, Samsung Pro 950 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/memory-storage/ssd/950-pro/MZ-V5P256BW for boot drive and games with a Hitachi 4TB Deskstar for media storage and Asus STRIX GTX 1070 https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING/ graphics card and 1440p gaming monitor http://gaming.benq.com/gaming-monitor/xl2730z No Man's Sky is designed almost exclusively as an exploration game and while there are other things to do, other activities are very limited at this point. Aside from initial performance issues and bugs, this is probably the main concern as many people will get bored from just exclusively exploration especially since there is virtually no social interaction at this point. I like exploration and I'm aware that's the main point of this game but I hope they add to this game for more social interaction and various other activities but for now this is no Eve Online and in fact those games may compliment each other being on nearly opposite ends of the spectrum.

The game runs fine for me as for the way it came out I think they should have titled it under early access the games not bad it just doesn't have enough content im hoping with all the money they received through the sales they will be able to improve the game more so then they were able to before that will pretty much show the people whether they care about their game and the people playing it or if they're just another ubisoft I have not lost trust in them yet since they have not chosen to abandon their game as for the way people are treating the game I think its cause they overhyped the game and with the features they promised with which are not all there that is why people lashed out at them. hopefully they can add them later on if not modders will do it anyway. now whether or not they deserve this hate that they are getting will be decided with where they take the game later on but for now its basically just a game that's in early access without the tag.

I haven't got it but I just got the ending ruined for me.. but there wasn't much to be ruined.. you'll see when you reach the end goal DX

Wasted potential - I think if Sean Murray shut his trap and stopped promising things that weren't going to be in the game and actually spend more time developing the game then it could have been better as a result. It works as a nice, relaxing zen game for a half hour but as a trading sim, FPS, space combat game and a survival simulator it's bloody awful.

I would buy it just to walk around pretty alien landscapes. I will after I get my new computer together. To everyone talking shit.. "...let the hate flow through you...your hate has made you powerful...your transition to the darkside is almost complete...

@katja's love-slave XD that's exactly why I was going to get the game but after watching a lot of gameplay the game does kinda look underwhelming but definitely not as bad as people are saying it is.
