Will I ever find the right match for me?

I'm very down to earth, very affectionate and kind. Sure I don't have the best body but my face is attractive. I am not shallow, I don't care about looks or appearances; Big or small, tall or short, I love everything about a woman. Ethic backgrounds don't bother me, I'm not racist, I love other cultures and respect other faiths. The problem is, I am a lesbian and I dress boyish but I'm into girly girls and ones that have a geeky personality like someone who collects manga, watches anime, loves martial arts and food all over the world and admire Asian culture and enjoys playing video games and loves sports. I have a friend who is like that but she's straight and has a boyfriend. I dunno where to look! Please can someone help me, like give me advice?

Ugh, I feel you. I also wonder if there's even anyone out there for me. Most days it feels like there isn't and I'm going to be forever alone. Maybe my standards are too high and my ideal person doesn't exist. XD I've met a few girls before that I thought I could date but they were only interested in masculine people so I feel you on that, too. I think all we can do is keep trying. We're still young! Since I haven't been able to find anyone either, I've been trying to put myself out there. I've joined a couple dating sites and I'm planning on attending mixers and singles events at anime cons from now on. Trust me, I think I'm pretty great, too, so I'm equally bewildered at the fact that I don't seem to meet many people who are interested in me.

You shouldn't worry too much. Sure most of us wants to find that right person now, but timing is everything as well. The more you go over the thought, the more likely you'll end up trying to force something without realizing it and a natural relationship is better than a forced one. It may be long, it might be a little painful, but taking your time and being patient will help you out in the long run. I sometimes feel the same way, I'm sure others do too, but I never give up because I know that I'll eventually find that person. It's a hard path to take, but the hardest paths have the best rewards at the end. So don't worry too much and keep on looking for who you want. Don't give up.

I never figured it would be much of a challenge for bi/gay/pan girls to find a girl. Seems like almost every girl I've dated is bi or pan. But like anyone you need to socialize to meet someone. Don't limit yourself to just online as lots of people live far away.

My issue is that I know quite a few girls that will date me. Problem is that I'm not sure if I want to date them. Like, sure we get along and all, but I can't help but to feel the need to date someone closer to my mind set. Alas, all the good ones live so far away.

You should never expect it to happen automatically or by chance, you would have to try to find such a person, but by no means is it an unobtainable goal, you could find the perfect person, naturally it could take some time, but just remember to always be true to yourself, never settle for less lest you forget your true nature. My best advice would be to be social, honest and active. Indulge in social gathers around the things your dream girl would enjoy and talk to anyone with potential, you will be disappointed a lot and turned down even more, but this is the fastest way to find your pearl amongst all the shells. (weird metaphor, first time trying it, probably sounds pretty stupid).

I've not known very many nerdy lesbians having an issue finding a gf. This isn't a bad place to start looking, but local cons or meetups where you live are probably gonna be your best bet at this point. I'm not one to speculate because I'm not one nor do I really know what some of the more girly girl female otaku bi and lesbian girls want, but some may not be interested in a more tomboy like girl and want someone similar to them. Again though I'm just speculating and not suggesting at all to change who you are.
