I have an interest in Tibet and a lot of the Buddhist culture that's particular to that area.
I also really want to backpack across Europe (I know... so cliche), and in particular I want to spend a lot of time in Germany. It just seems like a really fascinating country to me.

I've been interested in Egyptian history and culture too for years. I'm also fascinated by various other cultures throughout Africa. After spending some time teaching in Turkey, I love Turkish culture, food, music, and language as well. My username is one of my favourite Turkish words.

Javanese and Balinese cultures have long interested me. Their language, various art forms, food, even their idea of politics and hierarchy is really fascinating. How they connect to and ties with various South and Southeast Asian cultures also make them worth looking into. :)

I'm really interest in Iran, Pakistan, and the middle east. I think the culture and history are really interesting. In college, I did a project where I had to do my own spin on Richard III and I set it in 1500s Iran just so I could do the costumes! Being of Native Mexican heritage, I'm also really interested in Mexico's native cultures.
BTW, @Kayisi, I think it's super cool that you got to teach in Turkey!

Oh wow, Cinna, we share some interests, and that Persian Richard III project sounds really cool. Teaching in Turkey was probably the greatest experience in my life so far.
