I'm cavalier about it. I try to go to cons but I'm busy a lot. I treat it like my enjoying Fresh Prince of Bel Air, if someone brings it up I'll talk and my friends know that I like it but I don't get obsessive or defensive about it. I AM surprised how many people around me watch anime. Not so much a niche thing here. Old ladies talked to me about DBZ for 50 minutes a few months ago. That was cool.

I'm a loud and proud anime fan and if my friends got a problem with it then I guess they aren't my friends

I'm a hidden Anime fan. You won't know till I join into your conversation about it. I'm not embarrassed to be Anime fan. When I step out the door I put of this facade of a personality that isn't 100% me(there are just too many judgemental or people who lack tolerance out there). I do that so I can go undetected.

I don't discuss it with anyone at work or with family (save for one aunt who is a big fan). I have a tight-knit group of friends that I talk about it with, but we're all spread out across the US at this point. I used to wear shirts and stuff in high school / college, but I eventually found it embarrassing and stopped. I grew up on a berry farm in Arkansas, so it wasn't easy to find people who were into anime, and I was sometimes made fun of at school for it; even just for liking something as mainstream as Dragonball. That made me a bit guarded about my interests.

I guess I am casual about it. I don't hide my interest, but I'm not openly promoting it. I was just curious how everyone else was.

Im a promote fan, I hide my interests to society but not with people I respect and enjoy being with. I am kinda loud with fandom tho some are too loud and proud, and don´t wear anime apparel, yet. :)

Sorta chill about anime, my facebook profile picture/timeline photo are both anime so everyone knows I like it, but I don't post about it and only really talk to a few friends about it. Buuut if someone starts a conversation about an anime I really like I have no chill haha.
