How to deal with anxiety?

If your just generally stressed than I really wouldn't try and of the herbal remedies aside from some Kava Kava or chamomile tea. Most of the stuff I researched are for anxiety disorders where you get panic attacks and such to where you can't physically leave the house. The alcohol would only be if your making a tincture, and when you do that it burns all the alcohol off when you cook it, but again that's really strong stuff for the people that want to avoid getting a prescription for Valium for a mental disorder.

Drugs and alcohol won't solve anything. I've been in the same spot as you are. Its almost been 2 months for me. I usually go work out, go airsofting, watch some light comedy animes. Which helps my stress out. Also talk and meet other people and hang out with friends.

You should try aromatherapy. I've never actually tried it myself, though. When I'm stressed I just talk shit about whatever is the cause and then get to work on it after procrastinating.

You might find meditation helpful, <a href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1609875">clinical studies</a> suggest it can be useful in dealing with anxiety. You could start by looking up "Jon Kabat-Zinn" on google or Amazon, or check out <a href="http://www.getsomeheadspace.com/">get some headspace</a>. Good luck!

Leave the weed alone. It can make anxiety worse as often as better. It also kills ambition and dulls the mind. Have you considered learning a martial art style?

and i have anxiety like bad lols... but ppl here help alot so its nice see a therapist another thing is seeing friends more and talking with em i mean im not afraid to tell them

When I stress at school and stuffi work out, I also havea strict schedule with a psychologist back by my school... Aside from that, I dance, and that helps... Yoga, Ice skating and drawing are some other methods. A friend of mine does weed, and she claims it doesn't affect her, but she's gotten a bit more paranoid since I last saw her.

There is always anti-anxiety medication, such as Xanax or Klonopin. But here's the thing about clinical anxiety: The medication for it actually induces euphoria in its users. That being said, you can slowly combat anxiety by doing whatever makes you a happier person. Sometimes people use drugs, while others who are stronger mentally don't need them. The only consistency with their success is that you need to do something to develop enough self-confidence to be very happy with yourself or your current state of life. Once you have that, anxiety is no longer real.
