@Arc Just because I'm an awesome aunt doesn't mean I would be a good mother. Pfffft XP

Well, I personally hate a guy paying everything for me. Unless I don't like the guy and he has to try himself which is very bitchy of my part, but I have done this. I don't want a guy that can maintain me, all I want is someone that can handle me and my changes. Money is something I'll make myself regardless of how unfair this world is, I've grown up as a person that's willing to take the risk until I get what I want, and if it is recognition and respect, I'll get it myself.

@animekid Wow, how sexist of you! XD

Exactly, but hey awkward or not, it's still a transitory period? So we're getting there right? I don't see why men have to pay fully for the meal, in my eyes I can see it as a way of wanting to pay regardless of gender. Like I do at times, with friends? Don't we all? But I guess men and women are still stuck in the past social construct and it is deemed romantic to be paid by the dude. But yo, I would take turns paying. One night he's like it's on me bby, and other night i'll be no it's me ;) And he blushes and i'll be scoriinnnggg.

I'm the same way Mango. But I also learned early on if you let a guy pay, he expects something in return (and what they want is worth more than a couple slices of pizza). XD

What I did during my short dating period is what I would like to call the "Reaching for the wallet" move. I offer to pay for the dinner and carefully gouge her reaction. If she offers no resistance and lets me pay for it guaranteed there will not be a second date.

That's what makes me sad to be a guy sometimes. Because others have established the thought process of "if I do this, I'll get "this" in return"

I'm the ninja payer. I usually already have my card ready to go before the server even asks.

There was one time a woman actually offered to pay for my dinner on the first date. I had told her I couldn't really afford the outing but she insisted. But yes, she did expect something after in return.
