I made a sexist/homophobic joke this one time.
If I had dollar for every gender out there, I'd have $1.77

@Mango I think Lion is referring to what Combat last said. Unless I'm failing at this.

This is where it's at right now. The bill for equal pay was blocked.
It's not necessarily a law yet.

@mango I didn't say that. I'm saying I would like to hear a real life case. I'm sure it happens but it doesn't last long and the discriminated employee usually takes half the company's assets.

"In the U.S., men earn on average 24.1 percent higher base pay than women in Glassdoor salaries. That amounts to women earning about 76 cents per dollar earned by men. However, once we compare workers with similar age, education and years of experience, that gap shrinks to 19.2 percent. Going further, when we compare workers with the same job title, employer and location, the U.S. gender pay gap is about 5.4 percent.
That amounts to women earning about 94.6 cents per dollar earned by men. "

Which again I personally feel can be largely explained by women just not demanding enough. Now there could be sexism and foulplay. I do not doubt that there exists managers that are seeing women as less competent and less likely to stick it out. and for those sexists fucks I recommend a suit filed for their acts. But there is not some 20+% difference entirely due to just sexism.

"women can't join the navy seals"
This issue was addressed last year and head the Naval warfare command said that there is no reason for women to be barred from trying out for the seals.
That being said, being a navy seal is quite possibly the most manly job you can get. There are countless physical handicaps that women have going against them. Even most men don't physically cut it. These men have to carry huge logs into the ocean and swim to an island with it after a week of no sleep.
I think the Navy didn't address the issue because women aren't exactly lining up at the door for navy seal training.

the one from AAUW is a bit fishy. It kinda schemed the entire male/female population instead of looking at individual jobs. I mean like a mechanical engineer would make more (usually anyway) from a fast food cashier.
I feel that the blocking of the PFA is unconstitutional. It's literally a violation of the First Amendment.
I'm not saying that statistics don't prove it. I'm just saying with my sociopathic mind that it doesn't make sense.

Any assertive person is gonna have shit talked to them. It might be unfairly done more to women than men. But that is a separate issue and should be focused more on our perceptions of what it is to be a man and a woman. If women are afraid of doing the things that will get them ahead in life then fix that, encourage them and tear structures of oppression down.
